- You could start with ‘hello!’ – repeat it several times, followed by my name
- Then try ‘goodbye’
- Next show me how to sing ‘yes please’ and ‘no thank you’
- Try learning the phrases that you can use for people’s names
- When you want me to listen, remember to hold my hands or sit me on your knee in place of eye contact
