Play the ‘copy game’ with me, using your voice
Make up simple songs with me, made up of short repeating phrases
- Encourage me to sing one of the short bursts of music I’ve been learning, then copy me
- Change over: encourage me to copy you
- Now take turns, so the short bursts of music are linked together to create a simple song
- Encourage me to sing some of the short phrases from this website (such as ‘hello’, ‘finished’ and ‘goodbye’)
- Make up short bursts of melody without words (‘doo-be-doo-be-doo’)
- Copy each other’s phrases to make simple pieces of music
